The layout is welcoming with trendy, contemporary influences. The closed off al fresco area is a great spot for dining when the weather permits. Tables are shaded by an intriguing Bedouin tent and there is a sheltered courtyard for more formal dining. Inside the restaurant, the ambience is laid-back and has country influences in the decor. There is a dedicated children’s menu to keep the little ones happy.

The seasonal selection of dishes on the a la carte menu is simple and uses local ingredients when possible. There are also daily specials written on the chalkboard, comprising superb South African food with Cafe Roux’s own twist.
