About Kaysers Beach

Kaysers Beach is a pristine sandy beach fringed on either side by rocky outcrops offering excellent rock and surf fishing. A worthwhile hike to the west of Kaysers Beach takes you to the mouth of the Chalumna River, famous for the discovery of the prehistoric Coelacanth, caught here in 1938.

Large sand dunes offer some fun sand boarding and there are ample opportunities for birdwatching, shell collecting and exploring interesting rock pools for kids and adults alike.
