About Chinatown
Australia’s biggest Chinatown, this stretch in the southern CBD is a colourful, aromatic melting pot, featuring numerous authentic Chinese restaurants and unique shops and stalls. Night markets are held every Friday evening, allowing visitors to soak up the culture of the area, and the Chinese Garden of Friendship – a garden based on those of the Ming Dynasty – is a tranquil spot from which to take in the sights and sounds of this vibrant neighbourhood.
